Make the commissioning of your drive package from the mechanics to the control system child's play. With the free PC-based software Festo Automation Suite, you work with just one program and always have all the information and tools at hand.
The Automation Suite makes things easy for you, since you only need one piece of software to parameterise, program and maintain Festo components. The basic functions of all Festo components are already integrated, so you can start straight away. Configure and parameterise a fully operable drive system in five steps: the electric components are added by dragging and dropping them, then linked together and connected to the controller.
The user-friendly interface has a uniform design and modular structure. You can also configure the Automation Suite individually. To do this, simply install plug-ins and extensions directly from the software. You can integrate the servo drive CMMT-AS into the controller program of the CPX-E with just two clicks. The optional CODESYS add-on enables the motion control and robotic functions to be programmed for CPX-E.
Watch the video to see why Festo Automation Suite saves you time and clicks. For example, because the basic functions of all Festo components are already integrated. Because parameterisation, programming and maintenance have been combined in one program and because the software visualises machine topologies in an easily understandable way.
Let the video convince you of many more good reasons.
You will quickly find your way around because the user interface always has the same look - regardless of whether you are requesting diagnostic data from a valve terminal or creating parameters for a servo drive controller. Thanks to the modular structure, user-friendly design and drag-and-drop, commissioning is intuitive and easy.

Even if you have little experience, this plug-in will help you to quickly put a drive system into operation. The assistant for initial commissioning queries the most important settings and puts the drive system safely and easily into an operational state. You select the components, set a few parameters, load them into the CMMT-AS - that's it.
In the expert view, the CMMT AS plug-in gives you full access to all parameters in the device, for example, to make further optimizations. Even if you do not have the latest plug-in installed, you can still use parameters from new firmware functions, because the plug-in automatically adapts to the scope of the latest firmware.
Once connected to the Festo component, the plug-in shows you potential diagnostic messages at a glance. You can use the stored history of the last messages to draw conclusions about potential causes of errors and subsequent errors. The trace function records signal characteristics in the device at high frequency. This enables you to better analyze events that are difficult to observe.
You can configure and parameterise the individual modules of the CPX-E quickly and easily via a graphical interface. You can use drag-and-drop to change, replace, delete or add modules and conveniently set all module and channel parameters.
Use the familiar editors for programming controllers to IEC 61131-3 The plug-in extension for CODESYS integrates seamlessly into the CPX-E plug-in. You can use it to program your control system from simple point-to-point motions and SoftMotion applications with CNC and cam plate functions to robotics applications in accordance with PLCopen Part 4.
Instead of 100 mouse and keyboard actions, two are sufficient. You connect the CMMT-AS to the CPX-E controller by drawing a line, after which the plug-in integrates all necessary libraries, couples process data and accepts axis parameters. The drive system can be used immediately in the control program. This means you have more time for creating and commissioning the machine sequence.
